In an interview with 60 Minutes, Mrs. Ford was asked by Morley Safer (on the subject of abortion) what she would advise her teenage daughter if the girl came to her pregnant.  Mrs. Ford responded that she would discuss the situation with her daughter and try to help her arrive at the best decision for herself and the baby, based on the circumstances.  Because she did not absolutely rule out abortion in her reply, Bob Jones, Jr. branded her "a slut."
